—-shooting in a 10F weather——

Nope, this is not a summer shoot.  It was shot in Detroit in the middle of the winder.  Dan and Samantha were tough enough to perform in these horrible conditions.  That was shot with film (Ilford FP4 if I remember correctly).

——An old picture—-

This is from three-four years back.  I don’t remember the name of the model but she produced this very nice picture.  Hair/makeup from Leticia F.

Shot with the Ixpress 96C back which I sold on Ebay.  The older Hasselblad lenses flare-up quite easily and you gate nice flare effects which I particularly like and employ.

——A New Star is Born——

This is from the latest shoot with Nuna Young.  Nuna is a wonderful young lady from Pontiac, Michigan, who produces incredibly good images.  I am looking forward to working with her again and again in the future.

On the technical side, this was shot with the 85mm f/1.2 lens wide open and with the strobe setting at the very minimum.  When shooting with this lens wide open from medium distances and when my vantage point is a bit higher than the model (I am 6ft4in) I get this three-dimensional effect.  The depth of field reminds me of my Large Format Camera (which I am about to sell) at f/8 or something.  

Make-up and hair done by my good friend Rulla Amer.

++++April in November ++++

This is one old favorite film picture. The model is April and it was shot over a thanksgiving weekend at least four years ago (can’t remember exactly).

Shot with a Hasselblad 500 CM and a 80mm lens with Kodak Portra.
