captured-in-a-blink asked: May i ask how you got a start as a photographer?
About eight years ago, I was visiting the Denali National Park in Alaska. I saw a whole bunch of photographers with these long, white telephoto lenses and I wanted one too… I had no idea how expensive they were but I bought a Canon Elan 7E (film camera) with a basic lens instead. I started shooting landscapes in New Hampshire and Vermont. When I moved to Michigan, I started shooting local models using film, a Hasselblad medium format and a Toyo large format camera. Very simple, very artsy. People started liking the pictures and one thing led to the other…:) I also met Leticia F., a talented local stylist and I started shooting more fashion images…. That was three years ago… That’s pretty much it :) Thank you for asking.
